Quick Bedlam hoops reaction

That talk about earning an improbable NCAA Tournament berth went down with each Tony Crocker 3-point shot Wednesday night. Oklahoma State was outplayed big time by Oklahoma in the Bedlam game at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Sooners did not miss Blake Griffin. The Cowboys thought no Griffin would mean more difficulties for OU. Instead, Longar Longar and Crocker gave the Sooners a solid inside-outside scoring combination that gave OSU fits. The Sooners' defense gave OSU fits and forced Byron Eaton and company into many terrible shots.
OU was the better team on this night and showed it belongs to play in the NCAA Tournament. OSU's winning streak is over and a third consecutive season with no NCAA trip is very likely now.
Another likelihood that will emerge from Wednesday night's result is whether or not Sean Sutton is the man to guide the Cowboys men's basketball program. The winning streak silenced such talk.
But getting swept in the Bedlam series will get that talk started all over again. With Sunday's regular-season finale at Texas and next week's Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, there is the distinct possibility that talk will get louder and louder.
