Ratings Update

Have you ever wondered who watches what, who listens to what, who reads what?

The true numbers might surprise you.

There's an ugly show on ESPN weekday mornings called First Take during which an unpleasant person named Skip Bayless creates and spews sports anger. Watching this junk makes a person want to give up sports and read some books.

The ratings for First Take are: .03.

This means that of all the TV sets turned to cable television, approximately three dozen convicts are watching First Take.

So perhaps there is hope, maybe the real sports fans know where to look for the goods after all.

As a gigantic football season rolls nearer, you need to know where the power is. Radio ratings? More people read us on a slow day than tune in to all that radio stuff shovelled together.

Only read you because we need a fix. A fix. That's the only reason. That and the cookies you send.

Hey Picker, we count on you to keep us informed, there's only one place to go for sports rankings, its the Pickers blog.

Col, you only read us because you want to know what's going to happen before it happens.

Matt is one of the reasons we like BA.

This just in about the most recent OU crisis: You'll note on the homer responses: good job, Bob; way to go, Bob; yahoo, Bob; you showed them, Bob; we got ten times better on the bench don't we, Bob.

We say wait: Who recruited those losers Bob?

241362: Everyone recruits losers. Every kid makes mistakes too. Show me the perfect teen/early 20's and I will show you a fairy tail. Stoops and Gundy are alike in that they won't put up with crap, I respect that in both of them. Gundy recruited a couple of 'losers'. When recruiting 25 news guys every year, its hard to tell how character issues are going to come out in a year or two years. Kids will be kids. Lord knows I screwed up my college years, and I came from a good family. Lots of coaches sweep events under the rug to keep good players. None of the three coaches in Oklahoma's big programs will do that. We are very lucky in this state to have that integrity in our coaches.
Our loses some talent with these guys getting suspended/removed. Maybe team chemistry will improve?

Forgive the typos and spelling. Should read OU loses some talent.....
Tail should be tale. Shoot me now.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
