We predict the next press conference or two with the OU coach:

"Coach, your defense just gave up 777 yards Saturday. What's wrong?"

"That's not right. We had our sports information staff go back through the stats and found that somebody included a 15-yard penalty in there. So those total numbers were inflated in a bad way."

"Then could you please explain what if feels like to give up 762 yards?"

"We won the game, that's the first way it feels."

"You won 74-62."

"It's good to see you got something right. Thirty of those points we gave up came on various and assorted kick returns. And there in the last quarter, they only had the one drive over 90 yards in length, which to me says that when the game was on the line, we were lined up in a good way."

"Coach, some say your defense looks confused, that it thinks instead of reacts."

"Who says that?"

"TV."

Picker you seem to think refs are just looking for a chance to screw the visiting team and only TV will keep them from doing it. Can you give anyone some credit for anything, other than yourself?

Give a ref credit?

When?

Where?

Why?

Aren't they paid well? Aren't they supposed to do a good job?

...and if every play is reviewed in college football, why would they ever get a call wrong? And why in the world would you ever need a coach's challenge?!

Picker,
Let's give Tulsa some Credit for their season thus far. Give us a Picker Winner Chicken dinner if the State teams were to play eachother in a round Robin. I like TU's team this year and since it appears that no one can really play defense, it is my belief that TU v. OU or OSU would be competitive, atleast more competitve that last year I'd hope.
World Picker (4 years ago)
Tulsa doesn't deserve extra credit until it beats a below average Arkansas team.
Sodypoke (4 years ago)
Well, I guess we will never get your wisdom on the subject Picker. To bad TU couldn't get it together, had to be one of the wort executed football games I have seen. The $5 I paid on the game fee wasn't worth it.
