We've seen enough.
Here are the undisputed flops of the season.
The Oklahoma City Whoopee Cushions: The Thunder nickname is so out of it, they couldn't even come up with a mascot.
Our suggestion of the Rounders was a thousand times better and could have been beautifully illustrated.
The Bowl Cheating Series (BCS): If Texas goes over OU, each with one loss, it will be the biggest miscarriage of justice in global sports history.
Our eight-team playoff solution is so simple. You match the winners of the six major conferences, plus two others, in the middle of December, when school is out, no class is missed, best teams get the home games, just like in the real sports world.

I agree Picker, "The Bowl Cheating Series (BCS): If Texas goes over OU, each with one loss, it will be the biggest miscarriage of justice in global sports history." Nice to see you've finally come around.

If OU runs the table and finishes with 1 loss in the conference, why are they less deserving that Texas or Tech?? I say all three are deserving. Tech beats OSU and UT at home and loses to OU on the road. UT beat OU in a neutral (yeah right) stadium and OSU at home (barely), and loses to Tech on the road (catch an INT or tackle a WR and stop whining). OU loses to UT in a neutral setting (NOT IN NORMAN) and beat Tech at home and OSU on the road. OU would be the only team with a road win over any of the big 4.
Jeremy

Let me say that I don't think OU will win out. They have too many holes in the special teams to win in Stillwater. I think they beat Tech because its a revenge game and its in Norman.
Jeremy

As for the defenses of Bama and USC, I'd take USC's over Bama's in a heartbeat. The PAC 10 is super lousy, but we all know that USC is loaded with experienced talent. OU-USC would be pickem. Bama plays in a conference that likes to hand it off and get 3 yards in a cloud of rubber particles. Save Forida, the offenses in the SEC are outdated at best. OU, Tech, UT, and OSU have better defenses than the numbers indicate because the conference is loaded offensively.

OU-Bama line: OU favored by 14. OU-Florida: Florida favored by 6.

Jeremy,
You must be an OSU fan with the comment you made for #3 that OU has to many holes in the special teams to win in Stillwater. OU will blow OSU away in the first quarter and OU won't need to worry about SPECIAL TEAMS. First quarter score, 35 to 6 OU. BOOK IT!!!

Mr. Picker, I seem to remember a game in Dallas between OU and Texas and I thought Texas won? Why isn't that an indicator of the "superior" team and, therefore, a more deserving team from the BCS standpoint? In any event this debate will be moot following TTU -vs- OU
Jeremy
Dan...I am a fan of both schools, but a loss by OU hurts more than a loss by OSU. I am just a realistic person...and it's obvious that OU won't be up on OSU 35-6 in Stillwater at any time in that contest. Can OU win there...sure...but I predict that they won't.

Good grief, children, get off of the "controversy" over who "might" go to the B12C game representing the B12S; if Oklahoma loses to either Tech or Silo Tech, the question will be moot. If Texas drops another game (they just lost their starting center...) and OU wins out, it'll also be moot. Bottom line...what happens, happens. If Oklahoma goes and Texas wins out and sits home, boo f*ckin whoo for those poor, mistreated Horns. And by the way, the concept of a Dallas venue being a 'neutral' field is, was, and shall be totally absurd. Equidistant from Norman and Austin? Perhaps. But folks, it's in TEXAS. Even though the ticket allocation may be split down the middle, the game is still in Texas and therefore NOT a neutral site.

Here's what's going to happen. OU will easily defeat Tech in Norman, then will lose in Stillwater, as with the spread, the home team wins every game.
This will put Texas against the Florida-Alabama winner, which is going to be closer than anybody expects, because Alabama can run and play.
Either will defeat Texas.
Our eight-team playoff is so simple, winners of six major conference in with TWO others, four games before the major bowls, two during the major bowls, one game after, presto, a true national champ.
Kareem Abdul Gilstrap
Although a proponent of a sixteen game tilt, your earlier arguments regarding its complexity ring true. Hence, I really, really like the idea of an eight teamer. It makes perfect sense...which is why it probably won't gain traction. But hey, from where we are at the moment, any playoff looks good.

Picker,
Hasn't OU won the 5 in a row and the last 2 in Stillwater. So, why again is it such a stretch for OU to win against OSU?
Texas needs to be careful with both KU and ATM. I will guarantee one of those two teams will upset Texas.
I think South Caroling will upset Florida on Saturday. 17-14. Book it.
OU vs TT - 56-24
OU vs OSU 42 - 31

Are you the Kareem Abdul Gilstrap one grade behind me in high school?
Anyhow, you're right, the Picker Playoff system is perfect, there's no school time lost because school isn't even in session! It lets in an extra mid-minor team. The bowls are preserved. Brilliant.
JG78, I'm not big into previous year results because, obviously, different people are playing now.
Lots of people like KU versus Texas. Which is why I love Texas. KU's defense stinks.

World Picker:
Either I am dreaming or you have plagerized my posts about OU being better able to beat Taco Teck than OSU.
However, with a week off I would not be surprised if Leach pulls off a win. I do not believe OU can blow out Teck-even in Norman.
Why couldn't the two best teams in the country be from the Big 12 South? Whether it be Texas/OSU or Taco Teck/OU or OU/OSU or Texas/OU, etc.
You can forget a playoff until the Pac-10 and Big 10 get on board. They are agin' because they feel it will damage the importance of the Rose Bowl.
Gene:
You are so full of ka ka your eyes have turned brown.
Isn't USC ranked ahead of Oregon State, you idiot. You must drink the same pi** flavored kool aid as your brother, World Picker.
And, no, I do not want to buy any of your silly race track tips. They stink.
Gene
Mr. Nit P, I wonder if USC being 8 - 1 and playing superior competition; and Oregon St being 6 - 3 has something to do with the rankings? Nah . . . I'm sure you must be right. Refresh my memory about me offering to sell racing tips to anyone? I bet the Picker is still laughing.

So if Texas takes another loss, and Oklahoma continues to win - will people shut up about it being a travesty to rank OU ahead of Texas? I'd like to get a decision on this, seems like there are many who say Texas is better than OU because they beat them head to head. Those same people drop that argument when you apply it to other head to head matchups (USC, Florida, etc). So which is it, head to head matchups or overall records or margin of victory over common opponents, or record against common opponents...? If Texas is better than OU, then Tech is better than Texas, and if OU beats Tech and beats OSU by a wider margin than Texas beat OSU - yet they still finish with the same record as Texas - will you still think Texas is better than OU based on the head to head matchup? I think there's an argument to be made that Texas beating OU should count as an upset, much like Oregon State over USC, or Ole Miss over Florida - what do you think about that? You like odds, here are some odds:
• Alabama would be an underdog against any of the Big 12 teams it could face. Texas Tech or Texas would be rated about a touchdown favorite and Oklahoma would be favored by 8½. USC would be an 11-point pick over the Tide in by far the most lopsided (on paper) potential title game.
• The Trojans, in fact, would be favored over all potential BCS opponents. OU would be a 2½-point underdog to USC, Texas Tech a 4-point dog, and Texas 5½ points. One of the most evenly matched title games would be USC and Florida, with the Gators a 1½-point underdog.
• Florida would be favored against all teams except USC, with Oklahoma versus Florida a near toss-up

Mike, yeah, the number of losses remains pretty important in the Bowl Cheating Series.
Mike
I'm not sure that's an answer. If OU beats TT and then beats OSU in Stillwater (worse than Texas beat OSU), will this whole "travesty" thing be dropped? Or will the Horns have to lose another game - or would that even matter? I'm starting to believe that no matter what happens over the next couple of weeks, there are some people out there who still think Texas should go to the title game over Oklahoma. Nobody wants to consider the possibility that Texas beating Oklahoma was actually an upset, and that the better team DIDN'T win that game - I don't understand why that's so hard to believe?
World Picker

Mike, Mike, Mike: Texas has to lose another game!
Or the police should be called.
TEXAS BEAT OU ON A NEUTRAL FIELD!
Only another loss trumps that!

W-Pick:
You're missing the most outrageous aspect of the three-way scenario. The same idiots that provide us the Bowl Cheating Series get to vote and decide who will be the B12-South champion! So it comes down to a personality contest and what coach is most liked by the most voters? Seems to me, Stoops would be better off forgetting special teams and making sure all those Harris folks have fresh coffee and Krispy Kremes every morning.
Mike
Ok, thanks. So your position is that, if Tech, UT, and OU all end up with 1 loss - UT should get to go to the Title game, even if OU also destroys OSU in Stillwater (which I don't think will happen, I'm just asking the question)?
If so, I'm not sure the Tech fans would think that was very fair.

Will someone PLEASE stop the insanity. I just heard Gary Danielson on CBS say that he thinks that Tim Tebow wiill probably win if he beats FSU and Alabama. Is this the biggest joke ever!!?? I mean they showed his stats compared to Bradford, Harrell and McCoy and it wasnt even close. Oh and by the way ESPN and thier agenda is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
