IT'S ALL good today, it's all about praise.

The great fans of the Oklahoma City Whoopee Cushions (Thunder): As Tulsa couldn't even sell out its opener versus rival ORU in the quaint-sized Golden Hurricane field house, the OKC fans can't get enough of one of the most challenged basketball teams ever to throw up a "chair ball," which is a variation of an air ball, an errant shot that sails into the seats.

Enthusiasm remains high in the City, though soon fans might be reduced to cheering at shots that score the front of the rim.

It will be interesting to see how long fans will pay to watch foes.

The morning Sports Animal show operating out of OKC: Otherwise, this has been a brutal year for local sports talk radio, from analytical and chatty perspectives.

The vocals have been so lousy, who could name names. If you were a former OSU coach who said Texas stinks and Tulsa is terrific, would you want that in print."

You missed a good one...Georgia Tech - 3 and a half over Miami. A lock.

Anything east of Poteau, it sort of glazes over. Can Tech score 4?
Abdul hassin etc etc (4 years ago)
They're a 'bone team and I know how much you love the bone in this day and age. And hey, they put 10 on Gardner-Webb didn't they? It isn't so much the Ramblin' Wreck I like (although I do like them tonight) as it is Miami; the 'Canes are but a shadow of their former selves. Have you seen them play this year? Absolutely pathetic. And they fit one of your criteria for a good bet...they have no qb. I'm putting 50 sheckels and my wife's goat on GT tonight.

Paula Abdul: Bone team? Then I'm putting the IRA full of GM stock on Miami, thanks for the heads up.
Adbul Hassin bin Sober (4 years ago)
The IRA full of GM stock? Mighty bold of you, P. Sort of like betting an old stack of Doobie Brothers 8-Tracks, ain't it?
Red Rough 'n Sore (4 years ago)
by the way...this Plante guy you currently employ to bastardize Thomas Nast; how does the World find these guys? First it's Simple Simpson and now this guy? Absolutely pathetic...

Licker,
I'm curious as to why you keep bashing the OKC NBA team? Are you still hung up on the fact that they aren't playing regular season games in Tulsa? Even though that's probably the stupidest notion I've seen you write- and that's saying A LOT.
Did it ever occur to you that the fans that are going to the games are actually supporting the OKC team and not just their to see their foes? Not everyone is a fair-weather fan. Some people probably want to be there at the beginning, so when the OKC team gets better they can be a part of it. That's what being a fan is all about. They aren't the same owners as the old Sonics. Why are you so certain they won't strive to put together a quality team? I'm no NBA fan, but reading your constant whining about their team is just old.

Georgia Tech 41, Miami 23. Ahhhh...the sweet smell of success.

Psycho...pathetic. Your cloying for Picker's attention and approval is embarrassing. You seem to have a need to be abused; why do you care what the Picker says about the Thunder...or anything else? If reading this blog annoys you so (which is, by the way, P's intent), turn on PSB...it's pledge week. Or get married...then your wife can provide the abuse.
Red Rough 'n Sore (4 years ago)
Oops...that should read 'PBS.'
cyco myko (4 years ago)
First of all Red Sore, the Licker knows why I rag on him. He's addicted to the abuse. I've addressed this in the past. I know his intent and he knows mine- and I can assure you, his 'approval' is the last thing I want.
But what we don't know is why someone with the nickname Red Rough 'N Sore is on this blog. It sounds like you're the one who's into abuse and we all know what I mean by that. I take it you type standing up.

Cyko...you've exposed me.

Eric...okay...let's get it going...Boomer (yawn)...Sooner...(ho hum)... there was a time, about thirty-five years ago, when I would have been pacing the floor during the game, in serious need of a seditive...but with age, I'll watch it sitting down without the same tension (although, if close, I'll probablyi pace during the last few minutes...maybe).

Good luck to OU tomorrow!

Mr P...I'm going against you in my only two plays tomorrow; I'll take Michigan and the ton 'o points (hoping the flagellated Wolverettes slip one past the goalie to cover, late) and Michigan State - a team I expect to cover big time if not win.

OU SUCKS

Red Raider, when I examine the intricacies of your comment I find that I'm impressed not only by the in-depth quality of the introspection which obviously went into your comment, but also with the erudite nature of your comment. I can only assume that you teach debate in Lubbock.

Paula Abdul, that was a good eye on Ga Tech, you're scorching hot with your all-time best streak ever, one in a row, congrats......
Nit Picker (4 years ago)
World Picker, you are in no position to call out someone on sports talk radio who said Texas stinks and Tulsa is terrific.
You said Texas Teck was an overrated cream puff gimmick team and that Georgia's QB was better than Sam Bradford.
You also said the SEC was light years better than any other conference this year.
You also said Ohio State would beat USC.
And, you said GT would not score a touchdown on Miami. (Goldberg made a total fool of you on that one.)

You are the dumbest gambler poser I have ever seen, with the possible exception of Gene.
It's no wonder you are afraid to identify yourself.

If I needed the money I would offer to book all your bets.
Picker...a thousand thanks from Allah. The golden pick of the day tomorrow...cannot miss...is Michigan State. The football team is very good and the cheerleaders are...are...well, just have them scrubbed and brought to my tent.
World Picker (4 years ago)
Paula Abdul: You mean to suggest JoePa might not take care of his gambling brethren on his last game in Slappy Valley?
Yes. Precisely. Peace be with you.
