Recruiting: Sanders seems to be the only RB on OSU's radar

Because of Oklahoma State’s depth at the position, it is believed that the Cowboys may offer a scholarship to only one running back – four-star prospect Barry J. Sanders of Oklahoma City’s Heritage Hall.

The son of former OSU Heisman Trophy winner Barry Sanders, Barry J. Sanders reportedly has settled on four possible college destinations: Oklahoma State, UCLA, Alabama and Florida State.

If Sanders signs with a different school, the Cowboys may not have a running back in the 2012 recruiting class. Next season, Joseph Randle and Jeremy Smith would be juniors. Herschel Sims and Desmond Roland would be sophomores.

In each of Mike Gundy’s first six recruiting classes, there was at least one running back: in 2005, Kevin White; in 2006, Dantrell Savage, Keith Toston and Preston Brown; in 2007, Kendall Hunter and Adrian Moore; in 2008, Kye Staley, Beau Johnson and Travis Miller; in 2009, Jeremy Smith and Dexter Pratt; in 2010, Joseph Randle; in 2011, Herschel Sims and Desmond Roland.

Bill, from what I've heard Stanford is among his top three choices along with FSU and OSU.
