Roethlisberger Versus Tiger
Published: 4/22/2010 3:19 PM
Last Modified: 4/22/2010 3:19 PM

Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was suspended for six NFL games for disgusting behavior, and heaven only knows what else.

As no charges were filed, many assume there is more to this guy than meets the wary eye.

And it was rumored that the Steelers were even willing to trade their quarterback for some scrub, or some unproven college guy.

Tiger Woods also engaged in some disgusting behavior.

Why didn't the PGA suspend him?

Sooner Sam:

I agree.

Picker:

To answer your question, Tiger Woods didn't break any laws. As abhorrent as his behavior was, he did nothing to warrant a suspension. Neither did Roethlisberger considering he was not convicted, let alone charged with a crime.

Sooner Sam, you need to do a little more research. The 20 year old college girl who leveled the accusation against Ben told Georgia Bureau of Investigation that she told Ben that it WAS NOT ALL RIGHT...NO MEANS NO! Any further sexual activity without her consent is rape, pure and simple. He is not a warrior, he's an immature monster who took advantage of an inebriated girl who was physically weaker and unable to defend herself. Anyone with his fame and money and ability to intimidate witnesses or victims can make pretty much anything go away.

Go to The Smoking Gun website where you can read the actual GBI report and see what kind of hero you are worshiping. He needs serious psychological treatment. Maybe that head injury from the motorcycle accident has permanently damaged his ability to deduce right from wrong but he should be suspended for the entire season in my opinion, as well as a stint in jail where some big old boy can show him what it means to be abused against your will.

Great post manfordmom. I will add, warriors are in the military, not making millions while taking advantage of young women in bar bathrooms....

Calling any pampered millionaire who is in for about 50 plays once a week for 4 and a half months a "warrior" slanders every one who has ever been in combat. He's just a brutish redneck. They're a dime a dozen.

If the woman was raped how come she didn't press charges. Yeah, he is no warrior, I don't care for the guy.
She appears to be after money not justice.

Sounds like two peas in a pod.

Suspend Tiger? And take yet another beating in the ratings. It is driven by GREED. $$$$ Tiger should have been suspended from the four major tournaments, for a start.

In many states, adultery is against the law.

Also, Roethlisberger was not suspended for breaking any laws. He was suspended for embarrassing the league.

Tiger suspended himself! Rapelisberger will be out of the league in two years and in prison.

Under these rules Tiger chould have absolutely been suspended. This is no different than the NFL’s personal conduct policy. The problem is that Tiger has transcended golf and become bigger than the PGA tour. There are no contracts in the PGA and golfers, at least the good ones, are for the most part at will employees. Trying to suspend someone who’s bigger than the game is bad for business and ultimately that’s what it’s about. Simply put... No Tiger = no Money.

Tiger isn't suspended due to ratings. A lot more people watch PGA golf on TV when Tiger is playing than when Tiger isn't playing.
