Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin featured in new Jordan commercial

As Michael Jordan closes in on his 50th birthday, he’s got a question for you.

“Does the game make you? Or do you make the game?”

That’s the question posed by Jordan in the official commercial for the upcoming Air Jordan XX8, set to be launch in stores on Saturday. The Jordan XX8 is expected to cost $250.

The new commercial has some Oklahoma connections, featuring new Jordan Brand athletes, Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook and Oklahoma City (along with OU) product Blake Griffin.

Westbrook, according to SoleColector.com, unveiled a version new XX8 last night against the Miami Heat in a player exclusive color. Westbrook’s shoe had a white base with black along the heel and midsole. On the rest of the shoe, there is Thunder-inspired orange and blue accents all over, including the laces, zippers and outsoles of the shoe. You can find more photos of the Westbrook shoe at Sneakernews.com.

Westbrook is expected to break out an All-Star colorway of the Jordan XX8 this Sunday during the All-Star game in Houston.
