Santa visits the Sooners

Bob Stoops remembers Christmas in Youngstown, Ohio:
"I was very fortunate to grow up in a great home in a great neighborhood. I was one of six kids. Funny thing is all four boys, we were all upstairs in one room together. We would sneak down in the middle of the night, couldn't wait any longer, two or three in the morning and start peeking around to see who got what. A new glove, new basketball, that's all I could remember was hopefully in my pile, something from the sporting goods store.
"Then you'd have to creep back up the stairs, of course. The house was all rickety. You could hear us coming down, especially four of us coming down. A little A-frame house. My parents were right next to the room where we were all snooping around. But they acted like they didn't hear us. It was good."
Here's what Santa will be bringing the Sooners at the Sun Bowl (courtesy of Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal):
A Brut hair dryer
A Timely Watch Co. watch
A Majestic fleece pullover
A VP sports cap
An Ogio Politan laptop pack
A Sony shopping spree, where players enter a suite at the team hotel and choose from a variety of games/electronics (each player is allowed up to $300 in merchandise)
Had the Sooners made the Alamo Bowl, they would have missed out on the shopping spree. But they would have taken home a 32-gig iPod Touch and some Dr. Dre Monster Beats headphones.
