Is Tulsa a bad sports town?

No.

Is Tulsa an uppity sports town?

Yeah.

Back when soccer was a sport, and Tulsa had a winning team, fans packed the stadium, without quite knowing exactly what they were watching.
When the team went downhill, fans stayed home.

It's pretty much been the same with TU...when either the football or the basketball team is of a high quality, the venues are full. When the teams stink, there's little support.

The Tulsa Shock of the WBNA may not have the luxury of time on its side, the time to find a following, to learn a style of play. Some actually thought the OKC Thunder might help the Shock. The opposite is true. The Thunder got so good so quickly, there's no tolerance for lousy teams.

The mascot Volt is a winner.

The Shock is 0-4 going into the Indiana game. The team needs to start winning or it will find itself rattling around in a home hall full of cobwebs. Coach Nolan's legacy deserves better.

Bottom line is that the team won't win with the players it has now. Went to the last game and watched them "clank" shot after shot in warm ups. Game wasn't any better. I doubt they could throw it in the ocean and hit water. They need help.

I went ten minutes. A shot almost hit me.

Anybody Shocked by the attendance?
The lack of interest?

F-ball is King here, men’s hoops & bats are next,
w/ Soccer, wrAstling, Nascar & Ultimate Cage Fighting bringing up the rear

Women’s Hoops is about as popular as
a Tofu/Felafel Sandwich w/ Alfalfa Sprouts &
Hummus topping

As much a I like Brother Nolan, I think it might be tine for a coaching change.

What do you mean bye uppity? I wouldn't call it uppity when you don't support events....I would call it a bad sports town...

Case in point, look at the attendance for the NCAA's this year. You would think since it was your first time to host it in 25 years it would've been sold out... Instead, your attendance was mediocre and in the middle of the pack....Oh well.. at least the WWE sold out again at the World Class BOK CENTER...

T-Town is best at supporting events like the PGA that come around once every 5-7 years and can heavily draw people from the region... T-Town proper doesn't support jack most of the time....

THIS TEAM NEEDS A COACH FROM THIS CENTURY AND SOME PLAYERS UNDER 30 ! STILL NOBODY WOULD CARE.

Uppity is where nobody goes unless it's a social event, or somebody is winning big.

He welcomes the competition.
