Soft Thunder

When the Thunder traded for Perkins from Boston, we took one look and said we'll see.

Here is what we've seen. Evidentaly we've been the only one in the state to see it. Perkins sets a mean screen, can knock a man's shoulder down. He's a good defender. An average rebounder. A great team player. But he has been terrible on offense, seldom scoring ten, averaging about half that.

And now the TNT analysts have caught on to the Thunder problem: a lack of inside scoring.

Barkley is not as funny as he used to be when he was tubby. Along with the pounds, he has lost some of his sense of humor. Mumbles is trying to speak up. The show has lost some of its spark, it is over-produced, too cute. But the analysts have been almost savage in their criticism of the trouble the OKC is having when it comes to easy points inside. When the threes are falling, this team is unbeatable. But there are few easy dunks, not many offensive put-backs.

Even though everybody else in this state has given the NBA title to OKC, we now have some support from TNT in our plea for scoring help inside.

The Thunder are doing just fine....

Best record in the NBA against the toughest conference at that....

Do the Heatles have a powerful inside scoring punch ????

The Thunder will win the NBA Championship....

Well, if Barkley and the other uneducated fools on TNT say it then it must be true, right?? Pick, do you ever watch the Thunder or do you just stir the pot?(we all know the answer to that..) The reason I ask that is that the Thunder have as many dunks and layups as any team in the league. No doubt Perkins stinks on offense but the combined production of our 4 post players is as good as any. Mighty Andrew Bynum, who somehow is going to START in the all-star game had 3 big points last night as the Lakers lost to the sorry Knicks without Melo or Stoudemire...by reading the Pick, one would think the Thunder are 6-21, not the opposite.

Can the Picker go one NBA related post without comment on how Barkely was funnier when he was heavy. We get it, you can post something different.
