Son of Rubber Band Man is Missouri-bound

Missouri basketball coach and former University of Tulsa player Mike Anderson was scheduled to make a golf excursion Monday to Tulsa, but the Vince Williams Memorial Tournament was postponed due to rain.
In the meanwhile, Anderson's Tulsa ties just paid recruiting dividends.
Missouri got a commitment from Dallas Episcopal point guard Phil Pressey, son of former TU player Paul Pressey.
Anderson and Paul Pressey (alias the Rubber Band Man, because his arms seemed to stretch forever when the Golden Hurricane was pressing opponents into oblivion) were teammates on Nolan Richardson's NIT championship team at Tulsa.
The son of the Rubber Band Man is rated as the 54th-best prospect in the country -- and 13th-best point guard -- by Rivals.com.

He graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern State University with a journalism degree and, while attending college, was sports editor of the Pryor Daily Times. He joined the Tulsa World on Oct. 17, 1989, the same day an earthquake struck the World Series. He is the OSU basketball beat writer and a columnist and feature writer during football season.
