AFter his remarkable first season he shocked the Fathers-in-Charge with high-number losses to Michigan, USC, and LSU his second season (not to mention the 34 points given up to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl his first year...)and is off to a frightening start in '07. Additionally, his embarrassing lost lawsuit during the off season cast a pall on his administration as well. But after the Willingham controversy, ND won't fire Weis in mid-stream; they'll have to give him more time this year, an more rope to hang himself with. It the Amish do, indeed, tank Good Time Charlie could be heading back to the pros in '08.
