Sports Blabber Radio

Name one reason to listen to sports talk radio on a regular reason.

Exactly: It's a cry for help.

We listen to it driving here and there for a good laugh -- for material.

Here's what we heard today: Why doesn't anybody go to OU basketball games. Blah blah blah. They go to OU womens' games but not mens'. Blab blab blab. Bad fans here, bad fans there. Yap yap yap.

Here's a question: How many tickets to sports writers nad blabbers buy?

Mr. Picker . . . as soon as you print the English translation to this item I will attempt to respond.

in the meantime, if your radio has a music station you might give it a try. Nothing better than listening to Bobby Vee as you cruise around the A&W.

Riddle me this...suppose Jerry Jones is just waiting to get his hands on Bill Cowher when he's free from Pittsburgh. You have to wait a year. What do you do? Hire a "has been" coach. If he doesn't work out, next year go after Cowher. If he does, you look like a genius.

This is why he didn't put his up-and-coming assistant in the driver's seat. If he has the chance to get Cowher next year, he doesn't want to burn that bridge.

Jones isn't thinking about the near future. He's thinking long-term.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
