Last season, Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy joked to media members that we would not like interviewing running back Kendall Hunter.
"He only says about two words," Gundy said last year.
Well, I'm here to tell you Hunter was cool under fire at Saturday's media day festivities. Now a sophomore, Hunter no longer is subject to Gundy's rule that first-year players are off limits for interviews.
"I'll talk. But when it comes to football, I'm all focused," he said.
Hunter, who is nicknamed Spud, is quiet by nature. But he did not seem to mind all the tape recorders, microphones, still photographers and video cameras directed at him Saturday.
"This was different. I have never been interviewed a lot. But today, it was interview after interview after interview," he said. "I'm getting used to it now."
