Stoops Just Got Smarter

Here's how you raise your football IQ 25 points.

1. Get a punter who can kick the football so far it creates a time-travel situation, and defies returns.

2. Go up against Mike Gundy.

Going for a BCS bowl, going for millions and millions and millions of dollars, here's the strategy chosen by Oklahoma State: It went with the quarterback option game! Against OU's wildly fast defense! With a hurt quarterback who got hurt last year running the option, and got hurt again this year running the option!

Just before the half, OSU stalled, and then punted, on something like fourth and an inch.

There have been some lousy coaching performances on this field. But after Saturday, there is a new leader in the outhouse.

One more thing, we'd like to welcome in the multitudes of punks who asked us how could we possibly pick OU to drub OSU and cover the number.

That's how.

THANK YOU for finally saying what I have been preaching for the past week to all my OSU family and friends!!!!!  Gundy is a pretty good recruiter, but he is no offensive genius and coaches NOT to lose in the BIG games/moments....

Robinson was obviously NOT healthy, and you needed someone with an arm and a willingness to throw the football, which Weeden has shown the ability to do.  Gundy needed to do something to shake up the momentum, and he did nothing!

The real reason they played Zack was he knew the option.  The quarterback that played last week had a gun for an arm but wasn't prepared to run the option.

I would imagine Gumby had decided to go with the option for this game last July.

Agreed

Where's that Gundy for Coach of the Year article? That one cracked me up.

Personnel advantage?   Now THAT is a truly ignorant statement.  Democrat obviously hasn't been keeping up with things this year.

Yep MA, democrat has an interesting take on this deal, haha

Democrat just showed his IQ right there...  Personnel available?  OU was practically playing with half a team fielded from volunteers in the bleachers!  Don't try to act like OSU wasn't playing with a full deck...  It was OU that wasn't...  And still managed to embarrass little brother once again...

Is it true that the OU Booster Club is taking donations to raise Gundy's salary and keep him at OSU?

OSU must have some good players to have racked up as many wins as they did this year with a moron for a head coach.

Gundy likes calling the plays but there has been a slew of very bad calls. This last deal cost him a very big deal.

Gundy knows why he started Zac at QB, the rest of us are just guessing.  My guess is that Zac has earned the right to start by his past performances.

OU is 61-2 at home, for a reason.  Yes OSU can claim one of those victories, but that was with a guy named Josh Fields at QB.  Zac is a good talent, but he is no Josh Fields.

Funny how OSU fans cry when they are 6-6, but cry even louder when they are 9-3.  What is up with that?
