Stoops a bargain at this price

Thanks to the math wizards at USA Today, we now know that for all his millions, Oklahoma football Bob Stoops is underpaid.

Stoops earned, according to USA Today caluclus, $329,091 per regular-season victory last year. Now, before you spit out your lemonade, consider these salary-per-victory figures from 2007:

Gene Chizik, at that noted football power Iowa State: $341,833

Bill Callahan, who darn near destroyed modern-day Nebraska football: $350,250

Tyrone Willingham, not exactly restoring the luster to the Washington Huskies: $367,569

Mario Cristobal, Florida International House of Pancakes: $381,076

Guy Morriss, no longer coach at Baylor: $401,606

Phil Bennett, no longer coach at SMU: $517,857

Greg Robinson, who should no longer be coach at Syracuse: $527,086

Nick Saban, Alabama: $583,867

And, finally, there is the curious case of Minnesota coach Tim Brewster. The Gophers won one single game last season. Their head coach "earns" $1 million. You do the math. Then feel free to let fly with that lemonade.

What's the pay scale for guys who read articles about teams they don't even root for. You'll never catch me reading a dumb article about our sisters in Stillwater. BOOMER SOONER.
