Stop Whining

It wasn't like ORU had to do anything difficult to reach the NCAA tournament:

Beat a lousy OU team.

Beat something called Western Illinois.

Now the complaining has started by everybody from the AD on down: poor us, we were robbed.

Beat OU. Beat W. Ill.

The plan for hiring a new coach at TU is as simple: New blood.

And how about those bracket shows, great great grandpa Vitale screaming about how great college hoops is when it is in fact the worst with the one and done rule, and the other "expert" analysts going with stuff like the four 1 seeds to defeat the four 2 seeds. After coming across as the dummy of the decade last year, Bilas hid behind the desk. Phelps is an embarrassment to this and all sports.

How did you like the committee chairman explaining how Mizzou was the 8th highest seed and had no shot at a No. 1 seed. Guess they should be happy they are not Memphis, drawing an 8 seed.

Come on Picker share the love around, there is plenty to snarl about from this years hoops season. Remember as your therapist has told you time and time again- "release those negative emotions"!

"Stop Whining?" LOL - The Heckler needs to look in the mirror. EVERY BLOG HE WRITES IS A WHINE. "Basketball in Oklahoma stinks. College football stinks. So does everything on TV. And everyone on talk radio stinks, too. I hate my life. Wah, wah, wah." Haven't heard ONE WORD from anyone affiliated with ORU complaining about their NCAA fate. Seriously doubt The Heckler can produce one shred of eveidence where ORU AD Mike Carter said anything resembling "Poor us - we were robbed". That's because The Heckler is not into facts - just into complaining. If he was to ever "Stop whining", he wouldn't know what to write about - and he wouldn't have a job.

I seriously doubt the Picker hates his life. His resume is pretty impressive.

The only cure for the "one and done" that is plaguing college basketball is simple: stop allowing universities to recruit people who aren't even college student material to begin with. How do you do that? By penalizing a school when a student decides to leave early. Make a scholarship a four-year commitment on both parties. If your athlete leaves, you don't get to use that scholarship on somebody else. I would make a one-year exception for junior year. So, a kid leaves after junior year = no penalty. He leaves after sophomore year, you lose a scholarship for one year. He leaves after freshman year, you lose a scholarship for two years. This would put a stop to this nonsense immediately. Schools would be VERY careful about offering scholarships to people who majored in car-washing in high school.

True true true....

I haven't even looked at a bracket yet, I will later on today but my interest in college hoops is at an alltime low....

I just want to see the games, those talking heads are easily tuned out, I have a great remote....

Big 'Al' has Scott Sutton at the top of his list. Please, lets not do that again. You are correct oh master, new blood is needed or maybe Shea Seals. RUN!!! We're having a sun storm!!!

There's a reason why I watched CBS's coverage instead. At least they're tolerable and provide better coverage than ESPN.

TU needs to get a coach who will have a team that is fun to watch.
