TU Keeps Falling

Tulsa let a disappointment in Arkansas turn into what may be a season-ruining performance at Houston.
The Golden Hurricane did not appear over a poorly-played loss at Arkansas two weeks ago.
The hangover resulted in a loss that recalled an era most TU fans had hoped was long over.
Houston's 70-30 victory was significant on a number of fronts, but none more damaging than what it does to Tulsa's hopes to win Conference USA.
This is a team that just two weeks ago was still talking about going to the Orange Bowl and playing one of the giants of college football.
Perhaps the Hurricane should have worried about going to Houston and playing one of the nation's below average teams.
Tulsa looked unprepared on every front. The defense, bad most of this season, was at its worst. The offense, still not recovered from its shock in Arkansas, turned in another sloppy performance. And, the special teams made at least three big blunders.
That coupled with some questionable coaching decisions contributed to the total implosion of Tulsa.
Tulane, one of the nation's worst teams, comes to Tulsa this week and should be perfect for what ails TU.
Then, the Hurricane is off to Marshall for a must-win and hope that Houston will stumble somwhere in the last two weeks.

Congratulations guys on eliminating any respect garnered earlier this season. Pitiful.

What a depressing lossto Houston Community College nd JC! Houston isn't a realuniversity! Maybe Graham should takeoverasD-Coordinator! It seems opposingdefenses have figured out the TU offense-or lack thereof, in meaningful games! I hope Cougar High loses to both UTEP and Rice! Maybe next year TU can get payback in Tulsa-just don't stop scoring until they get to 100!! Win out and I'll bet Houston JC losesat leastoncemore! Get your Mojo back, TU!!!

Whoever decided that on the 1st possesion, a fake punt on 4th and forever was a good idea, should be fired (never mind asking the punter to complete a pass from 15 yds behind the line of scrimmage with 30 mph winds). I have no idea why, but Houston was waiting for a fake while rushing only 4 guys. It's a shame the punter couldn't recognize this and just go ahead and punt the ball. Good job coaches... a great way to sabotage your team on the 1st possesion on the road.

I left at the half. I doubt if Houston will lose to Rice or UTEP if they play half as well as against TU, which is still probably the 2nd best team in Conf USA.
