TU Needs Opponents To Win

Conference USA is a drag on Tulsa's chances to attract much national college football attention.
The league has done little or nothing to help the Golden Hurricane (the league's best team) gain votes in the polls.
Plus, Arkansas the only name non-conference opponent, continues to suffer through a horrible season. The Razorbacks lost to Kentucky over the weekend.
And, Houston, considiered the league's second-best team, did ssame thing Tulsa did a week earlier when it had to rally past lowly SMU in Dallas over the weekend.
So, Tulsa needs to start hoping for any success by the Razorbacks and Houston because those are future opponents that could help Tulsa.
Most believe Houston is a far more legitimate threat to Tulsa's unbeaten dream.
Tulsa needs to beat some teams that people believe are decent. It would help considerably if Arkansas would beat former coach Houston Nutt when the Rebels come to Fayetteville.
So far, Tulsa's seven victims aren't exactly eye-openers. The latest, UTEP, also got blown away by Buffalo.
So, cheering for the home team should be combined with cheering for future opponents.
