TU's Big Chance at Notre Dame
Published: 10/25/2010 6:02 PM

Tulsa hasn't exactly set the world on fire in recent games against teams from BCS leagues.
But, Notre Dame isn't exactly in a BCS league. Of course, it could be argued the Irish are in a BCS league of their own.
Either way, Tulsa has a great chance for a signature victory on Saturday.
Notre Dame isn't very good. Tulsa is no threat to the top 25 but the Golden Hur ricane may be good enough to beat the Irish.
It would be one of the most best victories in several decades for TU football it could figure out a way to win in South Bend.
It doesn't matter that Notre Dame isn't any good. It is Notre Dame. It is at Notre Dame. It is on Notre Dame's national television network.
In other words, it would be a big deal.
This is a game the Golden Hurricane should use every trick play, every bit of strategy and any other edge TU can find.
This is similar to when TU went down and beat OU in the 1190s. OU wasn't very good.
That hasn't lessened the impact of that victory over OU for TU fans. It remains one of the most memorable victories for Tulsa in the last two decades.
Notre Dame holds the same kind of possibilities for Tulsa.

I didn't realize they played football back in the 12th Century, John!
