How'd you like to be Texas Tech?
In back-to-back weekends, the Red Raiders play BCS No. 15 Texas and No. 5 Oklahoma.
This is a team that was beaten badly at Missouri, then lost at home to Colorado. Mike Leach's club hasn't had more than four conference losses in a season since 2000, his first year in Lubbock. But this year, including a loss at Oklahoma State, the Red Raiders already have three.
They'd have to score a major upset over the Longhorns or Sooners to avoid a dip below .500. Tech is just 2-12 against Texas and OU under Leach, with one a win over OU tainted by bad officiating and the other a last-second field goal against Texas.
"It's two really good teams, and they deserve a lot of credit," said Raiders quarterback Graham Harrell. "They've won lots of games lately, and they've played in national championships in the last few years, and both of them have won one pretty recently. They're both ranked pretty high and they're pretty good teams, but we look forward to the challenge. It's a fun game and it's going to be a good atmosphere, so we need to go play well."
