The way certain people have handled game six of the World Series is very revealing.

It was one of the most exciting sporting events in human history.

People like Mike and Mike on ESPN came on the air wanting to know if it was in fact one of the best Series games ever. This is worse than incompetent. It is demeaning. It is TV slop at its worst. It's why schmucks like that are nothing more than background noise. Hack analysts are everywhere at ESPN. Pinhead analyst number 12 has to think of something different to say than numbskull analyst number 35. Jokes like the Mike bookends and old man Bayless don't want a viewer to have had fun. Best game ever? What could it possibly matter. It fills hot air time, that's all the question does. If you enjoyed the game, that's all that counts.

Here's another telling item. A local radio guy said he gravitated toward the Houston-Rice football game over the Series epic. His name can't be revealed, the deed was that embarrassing.

The Fox coverage has been brilliant. Buck and McCarver can almost predict ballgame futures. The super slow-mo and infra-red cameras are amazing. Once in a while, the director gets too cute with crowd shots and misses a pitch.

This isn't an event for a baseball fan. It's for a true sports person. Not even wacko analyst number 34 can detract from the game's appeal.

I thought it was the greatest baseball game I'VE ever watched....

One(1) pitch away from a championship TWICE but yet, no cigar....

After the back to back HR's in the 7th, I thought that it was a great game but that Game 5 was better THEN the drama was raised to another level.... Awesome !!!!

I was cheering for the Drillers BUT that comeback by the Oilers was amazing....

It's tough cheering on a Texas or Mizzou team BUT when I view it as Oilers-Drillers, it's pretty easy.... C'mon Driller's, let's do this !!!!

But if the Oilers come out on top, I still know that I watched one of the greatest baseball series ever....

RRD, what was up with that Texas right fielder? He acted like the wall was wired for electronics.

And the win saved the OSU guy, Holliday, a Buckner moment or two. He took himself out of the game with a sore little finger?

Holliday did not go to OSU. But he has definitely been a liability in the WS.

Sorry, but I'd rather watch any college or NFL football game over a baseball game anytime.

.....nothing like an open mind to start the Halloween weekend.....

The Birds have been left for dead dozens of times since July but keep fighting. The only downside to tonight's game is that the pitching staffs are so worn down that last night's guests,Gibson and Ryan, may have to pitch. All though that wouldn't be too bad. I will bet you a dollar that after that second home run by the Rangers that someone would've gotten one in the ribs from Mr. Gibson. Ah, the good old days. GO CARDS!

It was dramatic to watch in terms of being a fan of the game. Was the level of play great? Not by any stretch. David Freese lets a pop up hit him in hte melon. Michael Young, a great infielder, boots a ground ball a 5 year old could field. Nefthali Perez has been money the entire post-season and gets tight with the Series on the line. It is the human element that makes the games great. If we had let the coaches and writers determine who was going to play, ala the BCS, we would have been stuck with the Yankees and Phillies. The NCAA basketball tournament, and all other sports that have a playoff of some sort and all the drama and anxieties that come with it is the MAIN reason why the FBS needs a playoff.

@Pick...McCarver said during the broadcast that Cruz really shies away from contact with the outfield walls and has his whole career. That's where Ron Washington needs to make a decision for defense over the bat.

Not the best game in history though. I will reserve that for game 4 of the 2004 World Series. Yep, I'm a Sox fan

Fans are biased.

Agree 100% with the crowd cutaways. They are fine in a limited number but Fox is going way overboard on them.

I couldn't believe Pat Jones said he "gravitated" to the Houston/Rice game. How could anyone gravitate toward a weak college football game over the World Series? He needs to gravitate to the Picker to steer him straight.

i'm with pat jones on this one - i'd rather watch any college football game than to have to sit and watch a MLB game - face the facts picker, baseball is beyond boring
