Texas TV is Big 12 Hot Topic

Writers and broadcasters gathered in a north Dallas hotel on Monday morning for Big 12 Conference football media days.
It is supposed to be about the upcoming football season.
But, on everyone’s mind, was the new Longhorn Network, the 20-year, $300 million deal Texas made with ESPN.
How it impacts the rest of the league is likely to be the hottest topic over the next two days as coaches from all 10 schools parade through the media circus.
Texas A&M is already grumbling about a possible move to the Southeastern Conference and the debate rages over the future of the league.
There will be some football talk the next few days.
But, there will be a lot more talk about the Longhorn Network.
