Thanking God is Fine but...

Floyd Mayweather, as he usually does after a victory, was full of thanking God for his victory over Oscar De la Hoya on Saturday night.
I have no problem with that.
However, tossing in profanities between his Hosannas to to God is both insulting and an indication that his praise of the Lord may not be as genuine as we would hope.
Mayweather has a well-earned reputation in Las Vegas. He bets thousands on sports every week. He takes an army of hangers-on to nightclubs almost every night.
He's been known to be in the midst of trouble.
However, he is always first to thank God after a fight.
I would probably have a better chance of actually believing him if he didn't add a string of profanities about his defeated opponent right after his outpouring of religious profession.
I'm all for athletes thanking God. It is a nice touch. But adding a string a curse words that would make a sailor blush seems to erase the thought.
