Thanksgiving leftovers?

The word coming out of the Lone Star State is that Texas and Texas A&M are likely to move their annual football game this year from the day after Thanksgiving to Thanksgiving night.

If that does happen, how about moving the Bedlam game from the Saturday after Thanksgiving to the day after Thanksgiving? Both Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are off the week before this year's scheduled game, so moving the game date up one day would not affect game preparation for either school

From a personal standpoint, I'd love the idea playing the game on the day after Thanksgiving. It would be one of just a handful of games played that day.

What do you fans of either Bedlam rival think about this idea?

No, I'm against that idea. Many fans work M - F every week (having Thanksgiving off but still working Friday). Saturday gives us the chance to watch the game.

I agree with Mark on this one but for another reason. I think college football has gone far enough with taking the Friday spotlight away from high school football. These games being played just for the sake of TV time kill the tradition that has been held for decades; especially in the midwest. And I really hate to use the cliche, but by colleges taking viewers away from the high school games they really are biting the hands that feed them.

Not sure the retailers of Oklahoma would care much for that.

I have a better idea. Everyone tries to hype Bedlam football up, but the game is only interesting in Stillwater, and the Pokes still lose. 2002 was a long time ago, and for the most part, this game just seems to be outclassed by some of the other big rivalries that tend to be more even. Until OSU proves they can consistently compete with OU, this game belongs in October. It does OSU no good to have this game previewed and analyzed to death, let alone for an additional week ahead of Thanksgiving.

It pains me to say this, as an OSU fan, but we should have let Stoops have his way a few years ago when he wanted it moved back to the regular schedule. Afterall, he has to get his team ready for champ-yunnnn-shipppps. I'm sure that Bedlam on Thanksgiving has something to do with their recent BCS failures.

How could Bob Fenimore have been left off of the OSU/A&M best quarterback list? the guy was incredible!
