The Big 12 will be THIS good?

ESPN.commentator Mark Schlabach has his "way too early" pre-2008 season college football top 25 in place. It figured that the Oklahoma Sooners would rate pretty high, and they do, checking in at No. 2 behind Georgia.
"The Sooners lost three very good juniors -- receiver Malcolm Kelly, linebacker Curtis Lofton and cornerback Reggie Smith -- to the NFL draft," Schlaback writes. "But with tailback DeMarco Murray and QB Sam Bradford coming back, the Sooners' offense could be explosive. The Big 12 schedule is favorable: Oklahoma doesn't play Missouri and gets Kansas and Texas Tech at home."
The surprise is how those Tigers, Jayhawks and Red Raiders all rate in Schabach's poll.
Chase Daniel & Co. are No. 5, just behind Ohio State and USC. Then comes another Big 12 power used to the top 10 -- Texas.
Three of the first six is a pretty enough feather in the Big 12's cap, until you scan the top 15. Texas Tech comes in at No. 12, with the Kansas Manginos slotted at No. 15.
