The Glendale Cardinals and Coyotes

Phoenix is one of the rare cities in the country that has all four major sports leagues and Division I college athletics.
That would make this city one of the best in the country for a sports fan.
However, in a trend that the Drillers could help spread to the Tulsa area, more than half of those Phoenix sports franchises is not in Phoenix.
The NFL's Cardinals and NHL's Coyotes both play in Glendale, a far western suburb that built a new football stadium for the Cards and a new arena for the Coyotes.
When Phoenix wouldn't do it, Glendale did it.
Arizona State plays all of its events in Tempe, another suburb and home to the campus.
Only the Diamondbacks, of major league baseball, and the Suns of the NBA, play in downtown Phoenix facilities.
Phoenix likes to cliaim it was home to the national championship game last year and the Super Bowl in 2008. However, it is actually in Glendale, the same place where Oklahoma plays West Virginia in the Fiesta Bowl on Tuesday.
Soon, the Dallas Cowboys will move from Irving to Arlington.
Thus, the idea that the Tulsa Drillers could actually be at home in Jenks or Broken Arrow or Owasso iwould be following a modern trend.
