The Heat is On Manning, Not Grossman

There's a reason why Indianapolis is favored by a touchdown in Sunday's Super Bowl.
Peyton Manning figures to be worth at least a touchdown and perhaps more, maybe much more, in this game.
Certainly, Manning completely overshadows Chicago quarterback Rex Grossman.
Yet, Manning is no lock to blow away Grossman and in the process lead the Colts to an easy victory.
Manning has failed to win championships in high school and college.
Until he led the late rally to beat New England in the AFC Championship Game, Manning had not a big game.
So, if you don't count conference championships games, Manning has all of the pressure on him to finally win a big game.
It won't have anything to do with his spot in history. There are plenty of great quarterbacks without a title. Dan Marino is the poster boy for those guys.
Yet, to be regarded as one of the greatest, you need to win championships.
John Elway certified his spot among the all-time greats when he finally shed his image as a big-game loser by winning two Super Bowls in his last two seasons.
Manning would appear to have a lot of seasons ahead of him. He's only in his ninth year.
Still, he should not assume this is the first of many. Marino never got a second shot.
So, if you are Manning, this is your game. This is your shot.
The pressure is on Manning. Perhaps that is why betting on Grossman isn't such a bad option.
