The Oklahoma State Mystery Solved!
Published: 4/18/2008 1:51 PM

Remember what Les Miles looked like? After a good day? After getting after the Sooners? That big old hat, large enough to hold a few pidgeons? The crooked grin. The casual clothing. The down-home speaking style.

Remember what Sean Sutton looked like? After a good day? After taking out national champ Kansas? He appeared to have been cutting across the back nine at Karsten Creek when the sprinklers went off.

And just look at what's there now!

They wanted Les out before he quit. And they wanted Sean out before he "quit."

Both were winners. But think about it, people, it's not about winning.

It's about looking neat on the brochure.

At OSU, it's suddenly all about appearances!

Funny how that works. Ole Les did look and sound like some goofy sidekick from a 50's tv cowboy show while poor Sean just looked demented. This Ford guy does a Bill Self look and sound alike impression and gets the job. Remember poor Gary Gibbs? Good looking guy but point a camera at him and he looks like he's being goosed with a crowbar. Winning record couldn't save him either because people felt weird looking at the guy.

See how simple things can seem once the solution to the puzzle has been revealed.

It's one big administrative and coaching Photo Op and Pose Off over there!

Oh, picker, you make me laugh.

Two cliches come to mind: 1) Pretty is as pretty does and 2) Bold front and bare behind. I wonder if either is applicable here.

Maybe it is because Pickens does his best Jerry Jones impression, scary looking at best. Or even better when it is a really ugly bride & she has hot bridesmaids to prove how cool she is!

This doesn't explain Gundy. Or his rant.

this is Jesus.
did you think of these comments over your mid-afternoon snack?
gosh.
besides, you ever seen Budke or John Smith?
Peace

there is an article out on the web about how GUndy "ruined Reid's life" with his rant. It is speculated that it was planned & the info used by Carlson was leaked.

JJ, did you smoke too much on 420? Good job reading an article about Reid and his mommy who wanted to talk to the media.

Reid couldn't cut it at OSU, and he won't cut it at his next school.

I am sure you believe everything an article says, or in this case, everything Reid and his mommy said?

Well done, moron.
JJ (5 years ago)
Chris I could give a crap, but HM asked about Gundy's rant. You cant give direct links on the web so I was merely trying to give him a perspective that is out there. I never said he wasnt a whiner, mommas boy etc. I just think Gundy made a poor representation on national/local tv & you tube forever.
