The Polls Love the Big 12

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops isn’t concerned with the polls just a month into the season.
The Sooners, the preseason No. 1 team, moved down one slot in the rating this week while Oklahoma State continues to climb (now up to No. 5).
Stoops said no one on his team “is focused on that” right now during Monday’s Big 12 Conference teleconference.
OSU coach Mike Gundy that is not something being talked about by his team.
Texas coach Mack Brown said it is good that his Longhorns are in the top 25 but he wants to be back in the top 10 “and eventually back in the top five”.
The league has five teams currently in the top 17.
OU is No. 2 followed by OSU at No. 5, Texas A&M at No. 14, Baylor at No. 15 and Texas at No. 17.
Brown believes Iowa State, at 3-0 with victories over Iowa and Connecticut, should also be in the top 25. Others believe Kansas State, fresh off a victory over Miami, Fla, should also be ranked.
Missouri had been ranked until it lost twice (at Arizona State and Oklahoma).
“This is a great league,” said Brown.
