The State Stinks; The Picker Scores

Punks and beloved readers alike, welcome to the hottest blog site this side of all that's wrong.

Skim back over the the week's material and review what you got here and nowhere else.

1. Shananan has done nothing.

He's fired.

2. OSU fans, beware of Oregon.

The Cowboys stink it up.

The number one topic to focus upon while waiting to see if the Big 12 suffers a global bowl humiliation
is: Has anybody ever coached worse than what OSU's Gundy did at the end of that Oregon debacle?

As has been stated here 400,000 times, nothing in big-time college football is worse than the old-fashioned rinky-dink option. The spread option gives the quarterback a chance to survive. A while. Because he can see straight ahead. But the High School Harry option where the quarterback moves parallel to the line is the single stupidest play going. Besides failing most times, it puts the quarterback in severe danger.

The poor OSU quarterback was almost decapitated several times as he ran the play favored by cheeseball operations everywhere, the sideways option.

Then, at the very end of the game, with the battered quarterback's arm dangling, and with his head reeling, he was made to run the option several times as the game ended!

That is shameful.

Also stinking it up somewhat was the overrated OU basketball team, which suffers from a lack of quality point guard play. Point guard is the key postion in college basketball, this is the one who must dribble to break the press, and feed the big star inside.

The TU basketball team once again played its guts out and couldn't steal a win over a good team.

The story of the early bowl season remains OSU's unbelievably bad defense, and the sad decision to subject the heroic quarterback to more torture at the end.

I don't think the OU basketball team is stinking it up, and they weren't overrated. They're 12 and 1 and they played hard to come back from 25 points down in a hostile environment against a determined and talented team Tuesday. Things are never as bad as one fears they may be. There is no shame in losing on the road to the Razorbacks.

What the heck? Does OSU not have another quarterback (anywhere) on the depth chart? Robinson's shoulder was clearly a complete mess - yet Gundy kept him in the game. He was obviously in pain with every pass he threw after the injury. Every ball was either short or so off target the receiver had no chance at a catch. I can't believe Gundy left him in the game to be further brutalized.

Eric;

Three OU players fouled out;
0 Arkansas players fouled out.
It was a "neutral" court, so what happened?
Obviously the punk Picker says OU was "overrated".

I see some things never change.

Mike, you're exactly right, running the option at the end of the game with a quarterback who couldn't walk was absolutely terrible.
