The (early) morning after

The trouncing at Troy finally concluded three hours ago. The wake-up call for a person who will be lucky to get 40 winks of sleep in the Montgomery Fairfield Inn is less than two hours away. The Continental Express flight takes off at 6:15 a.m.
The thoughts of the 41-23 whipping are bouncing around my head, much like Troy's team was bouncing around the Cowboys all night Friday.
It's hard to imagine that OSU was considered by many "experts" to be a breakthrough team this season. Those experts are probably demanding a do-over right now on their prognostications. Heck, that 7-5 pick I threw out three weeks ago in this blog space looks rather foolish right now.
Other than Kendall "Spud" Hunter at tailback, is there anything to feel good about the Cowboys program right now?
