The nuances of coaching college football...I had no idea

I’ve said for a long time that I know a lot about football, but virtually nothing about coaching.
Here’s proof.
OU offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson was asked on Tuesday whether center Ben Habern is having some kind of problem with his shotgun snaps. For the second game in a row, he sailed one over the head of the recipient (Landry Jones at Texas A&M, DeMarco Murray against Texas Tech). Habern’s percentage has been good, but he’s had a few others that went awry — glitches, as Wilson calls them.
So, is Habern having some kind of problem or what?
“You can sometimes get your tail too high like a punt snapper,” Wilson said. “But more than anything, it’s mechanical, where you’re leaving your hand on top of the ball. If your hand is under the ball, you've got a lever that lifts it. If your hand is on top of the ball, it’s like an Iron Byron deal. If your hand gets under it, you get a flipper that flips the ball into the air.”
Any takers?
