Let's see what kind of impact Sam Bradford (and friends) returning to Oklahoma has on the early 2009 rankings...

ESPN.com: OU #3 behind Florida and Texas
"It might not be as easy for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner in 2009. Oklahoma will have to replace four starters on its offensive line, and leading receiver Juaquin Iglesias is departing."

The Sporting News: OU #3 behind Florida and Texas
"Sooners staved off the NFL for a season, but must replace four starters on the offensive line. OU has always protected well, but it will be a challenge next fall."

SI.com: No. #3 behind Florida and Texas
"Bradford's return is huge for an offense that must retool its line and receiving corps. The defense has nine starters back from the BCS title game."

Rivals: OU #3 behind Florida and Texas
"Quarterback Sam Bradford, TE Jermaine Gresham, OT Trent Williams and DT Gerald McCoy return, which is good news for coach Bob Stoops. But the Sooners must replace four starters on the offensive line."

For a radical departure, we call on CBSSportsline.com:

OU #2 behind Florida
"OU won't average 54 again, will it? The entire backfield is back. The defense will be older and wiser. Special teams have to get better, but Bob Stoops has the entire offseason season to work on them. Issues: DeMarco Murray's health. Bob in big games."

This is an unforgiving sport and everyone's health is at risk. And as for the offensive line is concerned the 4 they put in there will probably do a good job, because they want to do a good job and they kinda have a standard to go by.
