There are Worse Places than Minnesota

Adrian Peterson's selection by the Minnesota Vikings as the seventh pick in the NFL draft could have been far worse.
The Vikings do have problems. That's why they were picking seventh.
However, Minnesota does have a good offensive line, one of the few bright spots on that team.
It is doubtful any other team picking that high could have been a better spot for Peterson.
Yes, Minnesota does have quarterback problems and virtually no other home run threats.
However, with Peterson, the Vikings get that home run threat.
If he is worth the gamble (in other words, if he can stay healthy), the Vikings may find this was one of the better picks they've made in recent years.
Peterson should find some room to run behind this line. If he can stay on the field, and out of the training room, Peterson could have a very positive impact for Minnesota.

Not so sure that the old-fashioned artificial turf is going to be any gentler on the 'injury prone' AD. Hopefully he will have a long and rewarding career.
