Think like a crook

We're trying to help with the big fishing tournament that will be here in two weeks.

After the governor throws out the first Bud Light can, it should be a wild time up on Grand Lake, along the turnpike, and over at the BOK Center.

Live fishing isn't exactly a spectator sport. You can either watch the boats rocket away from the dock, or open another cool one and watch the weigh-in at the BOK building. They'll probably try to make the fish weigh-in resemble something like a big boxing match weigh-in, with various show-biz elements flashing all around.

First off, they need to get lucky with the weather. Ice fishing is less exciting than regular fishing.

After being yanked out of Grand Lake, the fish will be sped to downtown Tulsa for the weigh-in.

We're here to ensure integrity.

Any sport that attracts big money -- the winner here gets a whopping $500,000! -- could attract rascals.

Were we in charge of security, here's what we'd be on guard for: Somebody in scuba gear hooking a whopper on somebody's hook. Feeding a fish something heavy. Most weight wins. Fish have to be kept alive.

When somebody honest thinks like a crook, they're known as consultants or advisors. Or they're in management.

Make it interesting by rigging at least three fish to explode when they are brought into the boat.
