Thunder Coach Chokes

The Thunder's play in the fourth quarter versus San Antonio was one of the worst examples of playoff basketball in recent memory.

Westbrook got that "playoff look" and went nuts, crashing headlong in defenders time after time. Westbrook shot 7-21, which is horrible.

Harden followed suit, was terrible, and was called for charging at least twice.

The coach needs to quit telling them in the huddle, "We can do it, we can do it," and tell the two guards to stop going berserk with the game on the line.

Perkins was once again his brick-layer self. The Thunder was outscored inside something like 50-25. The Thunder needs inside scoring help.

Two coaching decisions were poor.

Ibaka only played 21 minutes.

Durant only took 19 shots, two fewer than Wild Man Westbrook.

Durant is great. He should take about 19 shots a half.

Here's a coaching tip: Post up Durant inside. He is long, tall and impossible to guard. Having him stand around by the mid-court line until five seconds are left on the shot clock is goofy.

It is still anybody's series.

Quit saying we can do it guys, we can do it, and tell them how they can do it. Put Durant on the free throw line. Pass it to him. Presto. More points.

Picker, quit sounding like your OKC Brethren Skip
Bayless, putting the blame on Westbrook and the coach. Durant needs to step up and take control...especially late.

Westbrook and the coach were terrible.

The worst was Perkins. He does nothing but frown and layer bricks.

Pick is right on with how they funnel their offense. On a side note, all coaches who are mic'd up and replayed on television during timeout huddles are saying much more than what you see and hear. The networks are limited to show only pep talk speak from coaches, the NBA doesn't allow them to show any strategy footage during timeouts.

Put Perkins on the bench.

Post up Durant.

Win the series.

The San Antonio coach is manhandling the OKC coach in this series.

What game was Brooks watching, leaving Fisher in the whole last quarter? Fisher couldn't hit the backboard and couldn't cover a ref.

Durant took how many shots the last quarter, two, three? The half-court offense is terrible. At least one positive step was taken, putting Perkins on the bench.
