Thunder Grades: From A-plus to F.

The OKC Thunder final grades are as follows:
On court: A-plus.
Management (GM and coach): F.
The only thing worse than the late-season trade and coaching is the analysis by incompetents galore. Here's the way hacks like Bayless work. On the national level, if they pick you, and you lose, they savage you. Here's the way hacks like the OKC media works: They attack players because they won't talk to them. They kiss up to management and give those jokers a free ride.
The only thing that really matters is the one single thing the hacks are too chicken to mention: OKC has no center. Period. In the final game versus Dallas, the difference in center scoring was the difference in the game. OKC made public the fact that it needed a center, trading for Perkins. It either got conned or was dumb. The poor guy himself says one knee is barely above half speed.
The people who picked the Thunder and are furious say trade Westbrook.
What options did Westbrook have?
Here is the OKC offense: Westbrook has the ball. Durant holds up his hand 30 feet from the basket. There is no center to throw the ball to.
What's a person to do except try to create a shot. Team chemistry is fagile. Look where all the prototype point guards are: fishing.
Jason Kidd guarding Durant is an embarrassing joke.
Here's a coaching tip: Run a play. Post up Durant.
The OKC huddle sounded like fortune cookies were being read.
Harden is a future star.
The talent is there on the floor.
Is it there elsewhere?

Hard to disagree with anything the pick wrote but if the GM doesn't make that trade for Perkins then the THUNDER don't beat the Nuggies much less the Grizzle.... Can you honestly say that the Skinny Boy & the Big Tall Woman would've been a winning combo against the Tattoo crew or Lil' Gasol & Z-Bo ????
The Mavs are quality & that quality is something that the THUNDER will be in the future, they ain't there yet but they will be....
Wussle definitely has a problem in that area 6 inches between his ears, can he get that problem under control ???? One more "T" & he would.ve been suspended for a playoff game.... He never seemed to learn the obligation of his PG position, was it that he couldn't or wouldn't, either way, that isn't worthy of a MAX contract.... Without a MAX contract offer from the THUNDER, Wussle will soon be history....
I tried to see & understand that I was wrong about him but he kept on screwing up when the TEAM couldn't afford him to be off his game.... It didn't help that KD played with all the grace & fluidity of of a mannequin several times during the MAV series....
The coach couldn't control Wussle & he couldn't get a continual spark of energy & leadership out of KD, is that his fault ????
The coach & his inability or unwillingness to make adjustments deflated the TEAM.... It was like he was gonna prove that his starting rotation was correct even if it meant sacrificing the everything to show the NBA world his genius.... and that's what it came down too, the end of the season....
I thought it was a GREAT season & I thoroughly enjoyed EVERY MINUTE of it from game 1 in October until game 5 Wednesday night, I can't wait until whenever next season begins....
I don't care who's there, just as long as there is an NBA TEAM in OKLAHOMA !!!!

Quit listening to OKC sports radio if you hate it so much. I'm tired of reading you whine about it.
Get over the Perkins trade. When you own your own NBA team you can make all the genious trades you want.
Of course that's all you write about, OKC media and the Perkins trade. I guess your blog would be empty without the whining...

"The Picker?"
Wonder if that's a self-annointed nickname like Lebron's, "The King."
The King of what? Who knows.
The Picker? The picker of noses.

Da’ Blunder’s need to improve their inside game.
Not only do they need someone who can clear the lane, push out, grab ribbies,
but they need someone o/s of Westbrook to drive to the hole.
Dwight Howard Orlando’s Big time Center is up for Free Agency next year.
He wants out of Orlando & move to a contender.
What can them ‘Blunders offer them Magic to make a deal? (Perkins, Aldrich, 1st Rd pick this yr & next, Nate Robinson, Thabo, & Byron Mullins?)

OKC does have a center in Kendrick Perkins. He's a good defender and a good rebounder when healthy. However, Perkins isn't a scorer. The guy averages maybe 8 points per game when healthy. If the Thunder want to get to that next level, they'll need to get a center that can score points as well as defend and rebound. Sure, Kendrick Perkins was able to help Boston win a title. However, the Celtics also had Kevin Garnett on that title team, which is the type of player that the Thunder currently lack.
