Former TU leader Coach K looks lost at Louisville. He looks like he's listening to FM radio on his headset. At TU, he was active on the sideline, he moved around, he coached. Here, he looks like he's a guest.

So much for the emotional run of New Orleans in the NFL.

Brees is back to having passes knocked down by the ribs of defensive linemen. Sometimes his arm is noodle-like. Reggie Bush is not being used right, is not being used nearly enough. The Saint defense is sinful.

Get the prongs, they're done.

Dear Picker...I ralize your job description states clearly that you must annoy, irritate, and confound all loyal long-time readers and in that vein I must comment that you're doing a bang up job. In fact, even though I realize that that is your goal, I still - much to my discredit - allow you to get under my skin from time to time. However, just because you commented on the Washington - Boise State game doesn't make it 'your pick.' The schedule was, after all, made public long before you comment upon it.

For your information, I have a copyright on the Wash over Boise prediction.

...and good luck tomorrow.

Your picks are better this week, keep it up and maybe you can beat me at least one week this year.

Yo Michigan Man,
Your Wolverines are 0-for-2007. When are you going to acknowledge to all those peope you've ripped that you have already won the title for making the biggest joke pick of the season by picking Michigan to win the national title? You are quick to point out everyone elses mistakes, but won't man up and admit you blew it. Thin a little skin, you old hack? Your favorite whipping boy Dean calling you out and exposing you on The Blitz last night was classic. And oh, so true.

I think Coach K is already feeling the heat from the fans. I can't imagine booing my own coach and team!

When you're told to keep the defensive coordinator from the previous staff, and your defense is crappy as hell, it tends to make you a tad introspective ... not to mention mad as all get-out.

Let's see if Coach K can get the defense sorted out and get the fans off his back. If so, I think you'll see the more level Coach K we grew to love here in Tulsa.

Watchdog: I mean next year on Michigan.
Everybody knows that, when Les Miles is the head man.

Out Pick The Picker

The Picker began entertaining – and infuriating – sports fans in 1993. Each week during football season, he writes about his picks of college and NFL games in his Thursday Sports column. He's never afraid of sharing his opinions about the game and the personalities who play it. Readers have a chance to go against him each season in the Outpick the Picker contest. He welcomes the competition.
