To Be Or Not Tebow, That Is The Question
Published: 7/15/2009 1:34 PM

It's never too early to prepare to be sick to your stomach over the Tebow For Vice President campaign.

This assault on the senses will be led by the Eastern Sports Promotional Network, ESPN.

Outside of USC, ESPN can't seem to stand football more than one time zone west.

The symptom of too much Tebow is an overall sour feeling, followed by dizzying boredom.

Tebow's claim to royalty is the jump pass, which works pretty well in the NFL with a Nerf ball in the lockerroom.

As a drop-back passer, he'd make a better assistant coach than player.

It's not his fault.

It's the media that makes a person look for the barf bag on a consistent basis.

Here's some bad news: Florida's ONLY game is at LSU, October 10 -- come on Lester.

Speaking of a nutso media: The Pick's Preseason Lock of the Double Decade is no longer Oklahoma State over Georgia. That's because there is talk of Oklahoma State contending for a national championship. Granted, the Big 12, outside of OU and Texas, stinks. But PLEASE. When last seen, OSU's defense couldn't stop tricycle traffic. When is the last time a defense got markedly better overnight? Oh.....never.

Our Preseason Lock of the Double Decade is now: Illinois over Missouri.

I'm not a big Tebow myself, but, OU had the chance to put him in his place and bring him and all the columnists back down to earth, but, instead, Tebow showed OU, and all the nation watching, how toughness and leadership can win a national championship. Give the guy a break, all you sore losers.

"The Pick's Preseason Lock of the Double Decade is no longer Oklahoma State over Georgia."

Surprise, surprise. Who didn't see that coming? So do you still have OSU winning the game (not necessarily as a lock) or are you completely going in the other direction?

Oh, by the way, the last time a defense got markedly better over night was Kansas in 2007. Who was their D-coordinator at the time?

What's troublesome about Tebow is that he wasn't the best player on Florida's team. I'm no sports guru, but it looked to me like Percy Harvin's 14 yards/rush in the national championship flustered OU defense more than Tebow.

Check last year's bowl record. Why are the only people who think the Big 12 stinks are local writers? Played for it all, lost a good game, won the Fiesta over the Big 10 champ, Missouri, Nebraska, KU all win over quality opponents in their bowl games. It's the number 2 conference in the country.

Willie: Good thing you have a Big 12 pushover on the schedule, Tex A&M. Because the road is a nightmare, just look at this: at Alabama, at Florida, at Mississippi, at LSU! One road win would be a miracle. Winning seasons in the SEC are such work.

At Miss, what a show that should be.

Why Ark didn't get in the much softer Big 12 remains a mystery of the ages, so close to so much.

Lots of money, lots of pain, Bacon Broyles messed up big-time.

Tebow has a better chance to make the pros as a linebacker than quarterback.

Hey picker, your comments about Tebow smack of sour grapes. He's done a little more than being "raised by good parents".

TMS: Read the blog. Quote: "It's not his fault."

The "We'll never lose again," speech made public was pretty sappy.

But as reported here, it's the media, namely ESPN, wearing out Tebow's welcome.

PS: The Picker picked Florida to cover versus OU. Which it did. Sweet grapes.

Easy Tattoo, selective memory is the only thing that keeps Pick going...nobody likes to see a grown, obese man cry.
