Today the World; tomorrow Hollywood?

OMAHA, Neb. – After enduring some sort of travel problems or concerns on the previous three OSU road games this fall, the Tulsa World coverage team of beat writer Bill Haisten, columnist Dave Sittler, photographer Mike Wyke and yours truly made it safe and sound to Omaha, Neb., this afternoon.
We're staying at the same hotel as the OSU team tonight in Omaha. Already had one Cowboys player knock on my door and ask if this was sophomore defensive end Derek Burton's room. Sorry, instead of an imposing 6-foot-5, 265-pound football player, there's just a puny 5-foot-8, 190-pound sports writer in this room.
While I'll be performing my professional duties for the Tulsa World tomorrow afternoon in Lincoln, Neb., covering the OSU-Nebraska football game, there could be the slightest of chances I'll be making my debut on the big screen.
On the front page of the Omaha World-Herald today was a story that a film crew is using the OSU-Nebraska game as a backdrop to shoot scenes for Jim Carrey's newest movie "Yes Man" that will be released in early 2009. Hey, Mr. Carrey, do you have any need for an extra posing as a sports writer?
