Trap Game for OSU

Oklahoma State should not underestimate the ability of Houston to pull off an upset in Stillwater.
However, most likely, the Cowboys should be well aware of the dangers of this game.
OSU lost down there, early in Mike Gundy's coaching career, and then thee Cowboys were pressed to win in Stillwater last year against the Cougars.
Houston has talent. A lot of it. If the Coogs decide to show up and play, and they will against a Big 12 team, then this game could turn into a struggle.
Oklahoma State will have to play well to win.
Houston is not as good as Georgia. The Cougars do not have the talent level of the Bulldogs.
However, UH is better on offense which means OSU's offense, sporadic against Georgia's excellent defense, will have to be much better against Houston.
If the Cowboys show up and play well, they should win for a great start to the season.
If not and all of the good vibes from a victory over Georgia will be wiped out.

Wow, what is going on here? I know Houston's offense is really good but I don't see this game being as tough as people are making it seem.

First of all, last year's game wasn't that close. A 19 point victory that really should have been 26 points but Gundy elected to kneel on the ball on the one yard line and close the game out instead of scoring.

Second, Houston beat up on a really bad team last Saturday while OSU played a beast of a defense. Houston's O-Line averages 26 less pounds per player than Georgia's. Their D-Line is also nowhere near as strong or deep. On top of that, Zac didn't get much practice before the Georgia game due to the injury concern. I expect OSU's offense to have a field day come this Saturday.

OSU's defense has improved but this game will tell us how much. The depth will be tested and I think the players will take it as a challenge. Houston may keep it relatively close in the first half, but OSU will dominate the second half much like last year.
