Tuberville's Tough Tech Task

Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville said the Big 12 will miss Nebraska and Colorado but the league will miss its championship game the most.

He believes it is a strong league and the round-robin will determine a true champion.

However, the championship game was an extra boost for the league in an effort to put a team in the BCS title game.

The Red Raiders are predicted for a lower division finish this fall but
Tech should be better.

A year ago, Tuberville’s first season in Lubbock, the Raiders struggled all season.

However, he believes the second year will be better because “we’ve had a year to get settled and to sell our program to fans and the players”.
Winning would probably be the best way to sell the program to Tech folks.

Mike Leach spoiled Texas Tech fans with a remarkable amount of success.
Tuberville has a big job to win back the fans, who still mourn the departure of Leach for Key West.
