Tulsa Has Work To Do
Published: 12/9/2010 8:07 AM

Tulsa has gone seven years without an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
The Golden Hurricane has a lot of work to do to avoid making it an eight-year drought.
Oklahoma State got a perfect 12-for-12 night from Marshall Moses in a 71-54 victory over TU on Wednesday night.
Oklahoma State is predicted to finish eighth in the Big 12. If the Cowboys don't find some outside shooting, and some help for Moses, eighth might be a stretch.
Still, the ease with which OSU handled TU casts a lot of doubt on TU's season.
The Golden Hurricane has some injury problems and have not played well lately.
Tulsa's strength is its guards. The Hurricane will have to be shooting well to win games.
And, finding some interior defense might not be a bad idea, either.
Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik is in his sixth season. Fans have been grumbling, and staying away from the arena, for several years.
The way Tulsa played against OSU isn't going to bring them back to the Reynolds Center any time soon.

Well, you and Dave need to rally the troops and get us a change so we can come back again.

What's JD Barnett up to these days?

UGLY! UGLY! UGLY! I don't mind TU playing the Big Ten style of games, but you need to make sure your players buy into it and it is apparent they don't. This TU team has NO transition defense whatsoever. More worrisome is, this TU team doesn't have any identity whatsoever. Steve Robinson is out there. He could recruit and he could coach...he just made a bad decision to bolt to Florida State after 2 years.

Very poorly coached team. No, we don't want Barnett or Robinson...no more churls, please.

JH coaches know that you don't have post players bring the ball up the court (see DJ Magley breaking the press). They also know when your guards have an 8-9 advantage over their defenders you post up or drive to within 5-7 feet and jump up over them and shoot. This happened once or twice, but I guess Wojo wanted to run the offense instead of score.
