Tulsa vs. OSU: Civil War rekindled
Published: 12/4/2009 9:20 AM

Tulsa and Oklahoma State ceased to be a basketball rivalry because they didn’t play each for 12 years, never mind that the schools are located only about an hour's drive from each other.
Now, because the Cowboys and Golden Hurricane have given each other lumps the past two seasons, it’s all of a sudden a heated rivalry again.
“I can’t wait to play Tulsa again,” OSU forward Marshall Moses said.
“I know they are going to be on our schedule next year. They’ve got to be. They are a great team, man, but from my personal standpoint, I can’t wait. I will be thinking about playing Tulsa until the tipoff of the next game next year. I can’t wait to play them, man. We can’t just get beat like that and forget about it. I will never forget that.”
OSU beat Tulsa by 18 points in Stillwater last season. TU returned the favor by beating OSU by 21 points Wednesday at the Reynolds Center.
Said Moses, “It’s definitely a rivalry.”

OSU will play Rogers state but not Tulsa?

as a ticket holder I would much rather see OSU play tulsa than some of the horrible teams on the schedule

Is it a rivalry, no. But it is and should be an exciting game

I don't know that I would base anything off the opinion of Marshall Moses. He's such a hot head; I bet he says that exact same thing after every OSU loss.

snoop - I doubt that you are an OSU fan....maybe a TU fan but not an OSU fan.

The question that I have is why do TU fans and TU go completely nuts when playing OSU. TU fans seem to have a hatred for OSU which is puzzling. Especially when you consider that these same fans are bootlickers when it comes to TU playing OU.

When TU plays OSU it is like OSU ran over their dog, slept with their wife and personally deprived each of them of their inheritance. When TU plays OU Tulsa fans ask exactly where on the heinie should the kiss the royal butt of the opposing coach....strange.

OSU should NEVER play TU and there are many different reasons why they shouldn't starting with the long standing hatred that TU fans always show towards OSU.

Lol, I’ve got to hand it to you. You are a funny guy. You’re style and approach seems much more like an ou fan than a TU fan.
So by your account TU is so devoid of athletic and academic skill that their fans are driven to live vicariously through ou. I’ve never really been a TU fan but I know enough about their athletic history to know that TU is not as desperate or anemic as you suggest.
“…OSU is still just a school of aggies.” This statement is either made out of complete ignorance and hatred (see previous reference to your true allegiance)
Since agriculture is credited with enabling the very start of civilization anyone who would dismiss the historical, current, and future value of agricultural sciences is a myopic moron. As I said you really seem more like an ou fan rather than a TU fan.
Was I at the game? No. But, I am a native Tulsan and lived there more than 35 years. I’ve been to many different contests between TU and OSU. My comments and question were not based simply on one contest, sport or even season.

Your first post inspired anger.

Your second post only inspired pity; but then some empathy.

Good luck with your "demons".
