Tulsa's Big Hawaiian Boost to 2011

Tulsa got a Christmas Eve gift that could give all year long.
The Golden Hurricane hammered Hawaii, 62-35, in the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve.
All of a sudden, that victory looks like a huge lift that could continue to give all the way through next fall.
Tulsa will have its two best players back, all-purpose yardage king Damaris Johnson and quarterback G.J. Kinne.
Kinne has been superb during a seven-game winning streak to close the season.
Johnson, a huge factor in the victory at Notre Dame, always plays big.
Tulsa faces a tough schedule next year including non-conference games with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Boise State.
But, the Hawaii Bowl should be a boost to the off-season and give the Hurricane a new-found level of confidence.

I'll say it was a big boost - nothing else mattered after TU beat the Warriors. And if you're going to a mid-major post-season bowl, what better place than Hawai'i to cap your season? AWESOME, Hurricane - Well Done. Can't wait 'til spring to see the trophy in the case!

They add Kwame Sexton, the standout runner from Holland Hall next Fall, too.
