Tulsa's Defense is a Good Sign

Tulane and New Mexico aren't exactly offensive powerhouses.
In fact, both the Green Wave and Lobos have been close to miserable on offense through two games of this season.
Still, it has to be encouraging the way Tulsa's defense has played in two victories.
The Golden Hurricane allowed just 171 yards and six first downs to New Mexico in Saturday's 44-10 victory.
The Lobos made just three first downs after the first quarter.
Part of it is New Mexico's inept offense. The Lobos appear to be completely lost on offense.
But, some of the credit has to go to Tulsa's defense. If the Golden Hurricane can play at this level all season, it will have a chance to win a lot of games.
Stopping Oklahoma's offense, even without Sam Bradford, will be a far bigger challenge for TU's defense.
