Unchanged Big 12 Still Best Option

If Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have a choice, they would choose to stay in the current Big 12 Conference.
The Cowboys and Sooners have made it pretty clear. They like the Big 12. They like the other schools. They think it is working pretty well.
However, if everyone isn’t on board or it starts to fall apart, OU and OSU are prepared to make a jump if needed or to continue on with a reconfigured Big 12.
There are plenty of rumors out there. There are rumors that have the two state schools going to a 16-team Pac-10 or Southeastern Conference.
There are rumors about filling in with two new members if needed.
But, the truth is OU and OSU would prefer the league stay just like it is.
That may not be possible but the Big 12 works pretty well for the Cowboys and Sooners. Georgraphically, everyone is close. These are schools that have history together.
If possible, we hope the Big 12 can stay together just like it is. However, that seems less likely with every new day.
