Upgrade to the Camelback

The Camelback Inn Resort in Scottsdale has been one of the nation's top destinations for seven decades.
So, it came as a surprise when we found out the Camelback would be the media headquarters hotel for the Fiesta Bowl.
Most of the time, the media hotel for a bowl game is an airport hotel or something convenient to the stadium.
Seldom is it a luxurious resort hotel with million-dollar recreational facilities and one of the top spas in the country.
Yet, here we are in the desert at one of the top-rated resorts in the country.
The Camelback is everything you would want in a resort. It has terrific rooms with patios and an impressive view from the mountains down into the valley.
It has three heated pools, hot tubs, golf courses, putting greens, par-3 golf courses, tennis courts, childrens' playground and anything else you can think of that would be fun on a vacation.
There are tons of restaurants in this area, including several top notch eateries right here at the resort.
So, yes, I'd recommend this place.
This is actually the second time I've stayed here in three years. A couple of years ago, my wife and I came out and stayed here for five nights in May.
The weather was warm (over 90 degrees) but it was great.
The Camelback used to be a haven for Hollywood stars.
It was the home to sports writers and broadcasters this week.
Hopefully we didn't tear up anything.
We'll be back when we don't have to spend so much time in meeting rooms and working.
